The History
– The Kappa® with men born in 1978 when Marco Boglione, the young director of sales and marketing of Maglificio Calzificio Torinese, convinced Maurizio Vitale CEO del’lazienda to establish a sports division of the already established business Robe di Kappa. In 1979 Kappa® (then Robe di Kappa Sport) is sponsoring for the first time in a major Italian football club, Juventus. The world’s consecration of the brand comes five years later, when the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 1984 the American National athletes wear the men Kappa®. Even today the Kappa brand is worldwide sponsor of important football teams, rugby, basketball, volleyball, rally, skiing, golf, fencing and martial arts, as well as numerous sports federations, especially in Italy.
