This is an interesting little starter magic kit. It’s the Criss Angel MindFreak Platinum Magic Kit.
This particular one was an auction find and is used with a few pieces missing.
This one is missing the normal deck of cards and the card case (which is used for a card changing trick). It’s also missing the trial membership card for LoyalFreak.
The kit includes:
The MindFreak trick deck (with a bunch of extra trick 9 of Hearts), a trick plastic coin with plastic spikes and a holder, the manual, the “secret floating device,” a DVD (I’m not sure if it still works, it appears to still be sealed and in good shape), penetration glass, the secret utility device/fake thumb with two cloths, some cups and balls, a vision box and the “mental freak” card (used for mind tricks).
There are also a few extra items. There’s a bag with what appear to be trick spoons used for spoon bending tricks. They’re not part of the set and to be honest I’m not 100% sure how to use them. I’m not sure if they’re still useable, but I’ll throw them in since they were in the box when I got it.
The pieces are in fair condition for being used. The manual is bent with a crease down the left side and some wear. A few of the pieces are curled from their time being stored tied up in the box. I’m not sure if the putty used for the secret floating device still works and there’s a crack in the plastic penetration glass set (pictures #4 and #5).
The box is heavily worn. I’m a little low on pictures but you can see some of the edge and corner wear with creasing (pictures #1, #10, #11 and #12).
It’s fairly worn, but it should still be a neat starter set of magician’s items.
