Beautiful antique sterling silver calling card case with flip open top and a loop on hinge side so can be worn on chatelaine or chain.   It has slightly curved shape and front has fine ribbed engine-turned design.  There is a circle in lower right of front for monogram, but this case has never been personally engraved or monogrammed in this circle. Back side is plain, no decoration.  Measures 3-1/4″ x 1-3/4, case is smaller than modern standard business card size, made specifically for the Victorian style calling cards.  Inside lip marked STERLING MH.
Weighs 42.61 grams.  Very good antique condition, no problems or damage.
